Terms of Service

Make It Say (makeitsay.com) edits the text inside images you upload. You choose the lines and the replacement text; an AI model produces a new image. Results are generated automatically and may contain mistakes; check them before you use them.

You may only upload images you own or have the right to edit. You keep all rights to your images and to the results. We claim no rights in either.

You must not use the service to produce anything intended to deceive: forged documents, fabricated messages attributed to real people, altered evidence, counterfeit branding.

Identity documents, passports, licences, certificates, transcripts, receipts, invoices, bank and payment records and similar documents are refused by the scan. Attempts to get around this refusal end the account.

An edit that breaks these rules may be stopped and fail. The credit for it is not returned, and the purchase it came from is not refunded.

After an edit is done you can choose to show it on our homepage. This is off unless you turn it on, and only possible while the original upload still exists (one day after the edit).

When you turn it on, you confirm that you have the right to make both the original and the result public, and that they do not show private information about other people. You let us show both images and the changed text on makeitsay.com, for as long as you leave it on. We do not use them anywhere else, for ads, or on other platforms.

We review every submission before it appears. We may decline it or take it down at any time, for example after a complaint. If we approve it, you get 2 credits, at most 2 times per calendar month. These credits expire after 180 days and are not taken back if the edit is later removed.

Turn it off any time and it is removed from the site. To report a published edit that uses your work or shows you, email support@makeitsay.com; we take it down while we look into it.

One credit is charged per completed image. Credits are held when you start an edit and taken when the result is saved. Failed, rejected or timed-out edits return the credit, except edits stopped for breaking these terms (see Your images).

Pack credits do not expire. Pro credits are granted monthly and expire at the end of each month. Credits given for an edit shown on the homepage expire after 180 days. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars.

Sign in with an email address and password or with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may close accounts that break these terms.

The service is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for how you use the results.
